Does an x-ray hurt, mom?
That was the question I got right before Jaden had some x-rays taken of her chest. We were in and out of the doctor's office and the hospital for 6 hours the other day. This photo is of my very patient but bored 6 year old. After a long day the doctor diagnosed Jaden with pneumonia.
Good news is today she is all better and back at school.

Trip to Creston, Colorado-Part 2
One of the buildings at the zen retreat.
A prayer moment.
This is a green house that is on the property of one of the zen retreats that we went to.
This Stupa was so beautiful! While we were there a man sped up in his car, then got out and did a quick prayer and left. To me it was kinda funny how fast it happened, but what ever works. Also there were all these small little Buddhas on mantel and one of them blew off and his head broke. It was almost like he jumped.
Chorten near Crestone
A grasshopper.
This was taken at a place called Pay It Forward. It was a spiritual place of crystals, mazes, pyramids, and prayers. It was a really neat, feel good place to explore.

Yeah!
This year was the first year ever that I voted by mail-in ballot. Holy Cow...if you have never voted by mail-in ballot before, that is the way to go! I even went and dropped mine off at the polling place. It was so simple, no lines, just walk in and drop it in the box, (feel a proud tear coming on), and your done. Here's to change.

A road trip to Crestone Colorado
We went on a small road trip to the town of Crestone, Colorado to visit my mom.
My mom lives in a straw-bale house. The house's energy all comes from solar power.
This is the shower.
This is the center of the house, where the kitchen and family area is.
This house was built by a Lakota Indian. I loved all the details they added to each room.
The house has such a nice feel to it. It's so cool to see a house made from nature and upcycled materials.
Outside view.
Inside view. (If you notice one of these bottles still has it's cap on. That made
me giggle.)
Outside of the bathroom view.

A lesson in music
Jaden wanted to know who Yko Ono was so this is how we started our fun evening of dancing and singing around the living room.
Then from there we moved onto the Flamming lips.
Which then led to Abba, because Jaden is loving the movie Mamma Mia, and I wanted to show her were the songs came from.
Then we moved onto Madonna, because her "Hung up" song starts the same way as Abba's "Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie" song. Guess who Jaden wants to be for Halloween. She has been practicing the moves.
Oh and I threw in a little Elton John just for fun.

More bugs
Millipede
Dragon fly
I saw this dragon fly earlier in the day, so I went and got my camera waiting for a shot. It never happened. Then on my way home from picking up Jaden from school I noticed the little bug dead on my dashboard. I feel kinda bad about that, so this picture is in it's honor. Then tomorrow he gets to go to school with Jaden, because they happen to be learning about bugs right now.
